Create Issue

Overview

Once Jira is integrated, you can open a Jira ticket using Bridgecrew from the Incidents page or the Projects page.

Creating a Jira Issue from the Incidents Page

  1. Select a specific Error, then select Create Issue to start creating a Jira Ticket.

A. The Title of the ticket incident provided by Bridgecrew may be edited.
B. Select Project from options available when you press the down-arrow to the right.

When a project is selected the Select Issue Type option becomes available. Click the down-arrow to the right and select an option.

When an issue type is selected the Components option becomes available. Click the down-arrow to the right and select relevant options.

C. Select Priority from options available when you press the down-arrow to the right.
D. The Description of the ticket incident provided by Bridgecrew includes the guidelines of the relevant Policy and a list of the affected Resources. You may edit this Description.

  1. Select Create Jira Issue or Cancel.

Creating a Jira Issue from the Projects Page

  1. Select a specific issue from the scan results section.
  2. From the issue's Resource Explorer pane, go to the Issues tab.
  3. Select Jira Ticket.

If you wish to save the templated ticket, so that it will apply to each Jira ticket you create, select Set as Default.
